...... ABSTINENCE surge a fines del año 2008. Cuando ELMER comienza a grabar melodias en su portaestudio diariamente en la soledad de su bunker; ubicado en los frios paramos del oeste de la Prov. de Buenos Aires. Un tiempo mas tarde este, sarcastico personaje contacto por medio de un miembro de su monstruosa familya a un individuo con serios problemas de squizofrenia y audicion nula, pero con conocimientos musicales inóspitos. En ese momento ELMER encuentra la pieza clave para iniciar el proyecto; KENTOKI. Alguna clase de instro SURF/punk fueron las increibles melodias que salieron del sucio bunker y asi dias mas tarde dan su primer concierto. Esa noche BEBE guitarrista de Distortion Surf la paso el dato a Elmer de un predicador evangelista que tocaba junto a el puñado de los religiosos mas macabros que puediesen existir en estas tierras!. Noche tras noche tocaron hasta incorporar definitivamente a AMEN en las filas de la banda.THE ABSTINENCE TIENE DEFINITIVAMENTE ALGO MAS PARA OFREFER. MAS ALLA DE LOS LIMITES DE ALGUN ESTILO EN PARTICULAR. Y SOLO ALGO NOS QUEDA EN CLARO.
