Everyone, REMEMBER NOT ALL BREEDERS AND PUREBREDS ARE LIKE THIS!! Me and my mother are breeding for real quality dogs. We've been told that if we breed for no cherry eyes (medical condition), that we shouldn't be breeding. How effed up is that?

First off, the fact that a breed has developed so differently over the centuries should be no shock to anyone. How do you think we end up with thoes breeds to begin with? I don't think a weiner dog just randomly had short legs and a long body to begin with.

I own a purebred Dalmatian ...in fact have had several. the poor dears are lovely animals but suffer so badly. It is heartbreaking to watch them die.
