We don't know the ultimate meaning of life. We're constantly making mistakes and improving. It is a blessing that wedon't know everything. It means that we can hope to find answers to our problems. Problems do exist. Large parts of the world are hungry and torn by violence.
Good of each person is tied to the good of the world
Good of the haves is tied to the good of the have nots
There is a lot we don't know. Values are ever changing and very often what may be understood as the good of humanity by one individual or group may be challenged by another. This leads to conflict of good intentions which can have bad consequences.
Good of each person is tied to the good of the world
Good of the haves is tied to the good of the have nots
It would be quite disappointing though when we discover that so much of what we considered reasonable and moral would in the light of new knowledge, be found to be immoral and sinful. After all everyone's shit smells.
Good of each person is tied to the good of the world
Good of the haves is tied to the good of the have nots
However we don't stop living untill we find all the answers... we have to live thru the uncertainity. The uncertainity fills one with hope. Hope that we will discover what is going wrong, and how we can deal with it in a relatively reasonable manner.
Good of each person is tied to the good of the world
Good of the haves is tied to the good of the have nots
Wants are unlimited in magnitude and nature. However there are innumerable combinations of wants of different individuals that fulfilment of wants of one very often leads to fulfilment of wants of another. ( a labourer want's a day's wage,
a businessman wants a profit). I guess if the haves make sure the have nots get what they want, the haves surely will get what they want???
Good of each person is tied to the good of the world
Good of the haves is tied to the good of the have nots
A reasonably good life would be one where the following needs are reasonably met
Respect:No body "DESERVES" respect, hence we must respect everybody.
Food: the keep a person reasonably well nourished to live to a reasonable life expectancy
clothing : to make a person feel protected, reasonably happy and attractive.
shelter: to keep out the elements and maintain reasonable health relative to the environment
Social Security: All of us are not born equal, be it physically, mentally, emotionally, financially.
Education: all humans are intellectual and moral beings too
Recreation and social life: a large part of the proverbial 'meaning to our life' comes from experiences and a few happy
memories. A birth of a child, sex, seeing a parent die in peace in our presence.
Good of each person is tied to the good of the world
Good of the haves is tied to the good of the have nots
