Proyecto Secreto

Bio:

The first two years after Michael, Eduardo and Roberto started the band , Proyecto Secreto is playing all over the Belgian club circuit. In the Lintfabriek Venue(near Antwerp) they hang out into the early hours with the Malarians Ska Band(from Madrid). This results in a first tour to Spain in the summer of 2000. After the gig in Vitoria-Gazteiz, Xabi (Brixton Records) invites the band to record in Bilbao. They record two songs at Twobascos Studios. The songs end up on the first Brixton Cats compilation. In 2001 the band is mostly working behind the scene. In December 2002 PS starts recording a full CD. In April 2003 the “Bruce Lee is Back” is released trough Brixton Records. To promote the CD in Spain they play the important Antzokia club in Bilbao, supporting Bad Manners and in Tarrega they are listed at the Ska Exposion Festival (with Alton Ellis, Bad Manners, Begonia,). Two songs of the CD also feature on the second Brixton Cats compilation, together with the Slackers, David Hillyard, Basque Dub Foundation ao. PS peaks again in November 2003. On the 11th they lined up with Alton Ellis, The Toasters at the big skafestival in Antwerp and on the 19th they support the Skatalites in the Aeronef (Lille, France). In 2004 P.S. sold out the Charalatan Venue in Ghent and played the famous Pole Pole festival in Duinbergen, the Fonnefeesten in Lokeren and Viva Lola Festival in Sint-Niklaas. In november 2005 they shared the same stage at with David Hillyard and the Rocksteady 7, a concert still remembered by all Ska-fanatics in Ghent and around. In 2005 PS played a series of gigs in different European cities. April brings them to Italy in Vercelli, Pavia and Milan. The latter concert was live broadcasted by Radio Populare. They continued into Spain to play in Valencia, Barcelona, San Sebastian and Madrid(together with Begoña Bang Matu) Later into 2005 they played plenty of Ska Festivals in Germany and Austria: Rude Pot Festival te Dortmund, Dinamite Ska Festival te Leipzig, Ska Explosion Brussels, Reduit at Mainz-Kastel te Mainz. But the clear highlight was at the Antilliaanse Feesten the Biggest Tropical Festival in Belgium, with guestsingers Begoña Bang Matu, Paola Marquez and Alejandro Donoso. End 2005, PS recorded the new single Jamaica 69 an instrumental and Olvida todo with Paola Marquez on vocals. David Hillyard took care of the production and Victor Rice engineered it. This single is out as a vinyl-version, as a collectors-item. Check www.zephyrus.be I took some time recording, mixing and mastering but PS will release a new album "ALTO" , produced by David Hillyard and Victor Rice and featuring Vic Roggiero on one of the songs.
