Several weeks ago, when Justin Bieber released his single “Boyfriend,” a not-uncommon reaction to the track was that it had strong sonic similarities to hip-hop crunksters “Wait (The Whisper Song).” Well, apparently the Ying Yang Twins agreed. Because the duo have now teamed up with Bieber for a remix to “Boyfriend.” But that’s not where the story ends. On the remix, the twins seize the opportunity and take a few jabs at The Biebs for being, well, a youngster who thinks he has mad game.

“”I don’t wanna be your boyfriend, I wanna be your man/ He a little-bitty boy, I’m a grown man/ I can take you overseas, a harmless breeze/ Then you and me can have sex on the beach/ I bet you ain’t never met someone like me/ I’m the broom, you the dust pan/ Sweep you off your feet/ You can be my woman, I can be your man/ If you got a little sister, Justin Bieber want to be her boyfriend,” the Twins rap on the track.

There are several other references to the fact that the Ying Yang Twins believe they are more qualified to be dishing out proclamations of swag than Bieber. But it does seem a bit odd to do so while appearing on a remix of dude’s song. Regardless, the Ying Yang Twins are probably just trying to make the most of the opportunity as it’s been some time since they had even one percent of Bieber’s current popularity.
