    I wanna rock! (rock!)
    .
In a summer full of blockbusters, only one movie has the distinction of truly rocking. “Rock of Ages,” the homage to hair metal, rock n roll debauchery and rebellion based on the popular Broadway musical is coming, and we’ll be bringing you all the details!

    .
Thanks to the awesome folks at Warner Brothers I got to spend some time on the set of the jukebox musical, and while I can’t reveal too many details at this time, I can say that the trip did have some undeniable highlights. Highlights like meeting the absolutely adorable “Dancing with the Stars” breakout and “Footloose” star Julianne Hough and her totally dreamy co-star Diego Boneta. (I had to restrain myself from making googly eyes at him the whole time – he’s really just that cute).
    .
Another highlight? We got to traipse around an unbelievable set – a re-creation of the Sunset Strip circa 1987, complete with vintage cars and the dearly departed record stores of a world before iTunes (here’s where I shed a tear for the hours upon hours spent in Tower Records). But the real kicker was spending nearly an hour with the infectious Adam Shankman – the choreographer and Energizer bunny who brought “Hairspray” the musical to the big screen. We even hung out in his trailer and got a sneak peek at one of the most anticipated moments of the summer – Tom Cruise, shirtless, and destroying Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive.” In a good way. You’ve all seen a glimpse by now, right?
    .
    Whew.
    .
In the coming weeks, I’ll share detailed coverage of my time on set of “Rock of Ages” including interviews with Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, and Adam Shankman and more! Stay tuned and keep on rockin’.

Rock of Ages opens June 15th, 2012.
