Wes Anderson certainly has a unique take on filmmaking. A new behind-the-scenes featurette gives us a glimpse of his quirky filmmaking process, in which the entire cast raves about the indie director. That’s saying something, considering Moonrise Kingdom might have the best cast Anderson’s assembled yet (which in and of itself is saying something). Mainstays Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman are back, and joining them are Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, and Frances McDormand.

If you’re unfamiliar with the story, two children in love run away, and as Jason Schwartzman puts it, “a search party composed of many adults having their own internal dramas goes after them.” Anderson’s got a pretty immaculate track record, so we’re guessing Moonrise Kingdom will be another hit.

Synopsis: Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, MOONRISE KINGDOM tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl’s parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.
