• Watch: Black Keys Release Bizarre Video For ‘Gold on the Ceiling’

    The Black Keys released a new video for their single “Gold On the Ceiling” and, well, you’ll have to give us a minute because we’re not really sure how to explain what we just saw. The band, who already released one clip for the track, enlisted Harmony Korine to direct and the result is basically inexplicable.
    .

    We’ll attempt to recap: In the clip band members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney walk around with mini-me versions of themselves strapped to their chests. The foursome drinks from baby bottles, holds balloons and drags tree branches around in some puddles. There’s no story, no liner narrative and many of the shots are short clips on a loop, which adds to the overall creepy factor. Then, when the video ends, there’s a cameo by a set of twins who are apparently sort of famous. What does this all have to do with the song? Literally nothing. Not even one thing.

    You see what we mean right? Despite the strangeness of this video there is something weirdly compelling about it. And, plus, isn’t it always amusing when adults dress up like babies? You can check out the original clip for the track below:
